New Newsletter!? Who Dis?

We Gave Our Newsletter a Glow-Up! Here's What's New

By Devon Sayre July 8, 2026

Hi friends!

If you've opened your inbox this week and thought "wait, did I click into the wrong email?" don't worry, it's still us! We just gave our newsletter a fresh new look, and I am so excited to walk you through what's changed.

Here's the thing about running a local newsletter for busy parents: your time is precious. So every update we made was designed with one goal in mind, making it faster and easier for you to find the free and fun stuff happening right in your neighborhood. Here's what's new.

A cleaner, easier way to spot the best events

We know you're often skimming with a toddler on your hip or during a five minute break at work, so we redesigned how events show up. The best of the best now get featured right at the top, so you can catch the can't miss stuff at a glance before scrolling through the full weekly lineup.

Out and About Events Section

Community Scoops: your quick hit of local news

This is a brand new section, and I think you're going to love it. Community Scoops are quick, headline style bites of local happenings, think new business openings, community events, or good news stories from around town. No long articles to read through, just a quick scroll to stay in the loop on what's new nearby.

This Week's Scoop

Locals We Love: shining a light on our favorite local spots

Another new favorite of mine! This section is a dedicated spotlight on a local business or person who makes our community a little brighter. Whether it's a mom owned boutique, a favorite family restaurant, or someone doing great things for local kids, this is where we get to brag on them a bit.

Locals We Love

Everything else you love, still here

Your weekly events calendar, our seasonal guides, and all the free family fun tips are still right where you'd expect them. We just tidied things up to make it all easier to navigate on your phone between school pickup and soccer practice.

We build this newsletter for you and your family, so if there's ever something you'd love to see more of, hit reply and let me know. I read every message!

Happy Scrolling!
